Then if you  click on the books you wish to buy you will be linked to the Amazon Internet Bookshop. Readers can choose between early or modern biographies of Burne-Jones and Morris. Georgiana Burne-Jones's Memorials provide a fascinating account of her husband's life, including his student days with Morris in Oxford. Naturally they do not describe his dramatic affair with Maria Zambaco, but details of this are found in Fitzgerald's Edward Burne-Jones.

Mackail's 1897 biography of Morris has been reprinted and can be compared with the 1990s biography by Fiona MacCarthy.

There are many highly illustrated books on the art and designs of these artists and of the Pre-Raphaelites and you can click below for details, with links to Amazon if you wish to check the latest prices or order any online.

A visit to Oxford can be enriched by reading Jon Whiteley's Oxford and the Pre-Raphaelites, which describes the outstanding collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings in Oxford, and Ann S. Dean's Burne-Jones and William Morris in Oxford. This has a plan of Oxford and also a unique list of places to visit.  It also gives the phone numbers needed to gain access to many churches with windows by Morris's firm in a wide area including London.
